Single most important indicator of becoming a successful student

1
As we enter March, it is important to remember splash pants!!!  Rule of thumb...when there is snow on the ground, wear snowpants. When it is rainy, wet, and mucky wear splashpants!  Get organized the night before@ Reading folders, Library books, mailbags, and splashpants can all be packed the night before!

This is also a good time of year to either ask your child (SKs are independent!) or have them bring their indoor shoes home to see if they still fit.

This is a great gym shoe.  Velcro so the students can independently put them on their feet and run in gym!

This is not a good gym shoe.  While they are cute and are welcome as indoor shoes, the student cannot safely run in gym with these.

A change of clothes is always needed in their baskets and Mack & Eich will be checking for these tomorrow.

Science with Mrs.Tomini

A new pet fish!  Gordy is the name!

We were fortunate enough to have an Art workshop provided to us!  The students loved this!  On April 7th at the Collingwood Library,  the artwork will be displayed.  I have included a link that explains the Magic of Children's Art Show if you are interested.  Participants will receive an Art package if they submitted a piece of Art.

Here are the beautiful masterpieces from today. Somehow Dougie & Colin  are not holding their own!  Dougie has Colin's and  Colin has Dougie!  Silly boys.

Inclusiveness

This month's character trait is inclusiveness.  To be inclusive is to welcome and include most if not all of our friends.  These 3 students are great friends and they take the time to look around and see who is feeling left out.  Congrats Bentley, Kinley, and Spencer. Come and join us on Friday, February 23 at the February assembly.  TBD

Magic of Children's Art Workshops

On Tuesday, February 6th  our Kindergarten students will be participating in an Art workshop led by Magic of Children's Art leaders.  This has been paid for through our school budget!  The students will be painting so please do not dress them in anything special or something you do not want ruined.
